The inhabitants of this Transmontana area are renown for the quality of their open hospitality. The municipalities covered are Moimenta de Beira, Penedono, São João de Pesqueira, Sernacelhe and Tabuço. The red wine is fruity and quite palatable with a ruby-colour. The white is fresh, fruity and has a low level of alcohol. The label to try is Terras do Demo.
