The Pousada has been constructed from a small 13th century Manor House in the walls of a fort originally built in 1321. The attractive walled town of Vila Nova de Cerveira overlooks the River Minho on the northern border between Portugal and Spain. The architecture of the original building has been faithfully preserved and it is also furnished throughout in a manner to recapture some of the splendour of its original occupants. The Pousada makes an ideal location to explore the historic countryside and sample its culture and traditional cuisine. There are twenty 23 rooms and 3 suites with a restaurant and bar.
The Pousada is approximately 117 kms from Porto Airport.
