The popular Pedras da Rainha Resort is located in Cabanas near to Tavira on the east side of Faro in the Algarve, Portugal. It is essentially a holiday location which takes into strong consideration the outdoor life of guests whilst enjoying a great family holiday.
There are a total of 205 holiday units spread over 17 hectares and are composed of mainly studios and one-bedroom villas and apartments, two-bedroom villas and apartments, three and four-bedroom villas, all distributed inside a generous garden area.
Each unit is furnished for holiday accommodation and the kitchen or kitchenette is complete with all the necessary items for your holiday. Every unit has either a terrace or a veranda on which to enjoy a barbecue.
The Resort has many facilities which include an adult pool, a children's pool, restaurant, bar, coffee-shop, snack-bar, public Internet, supermarket, shop and a Kids Club during the season with both a playroom and play area. For the active minded there is a 5 Tennis Courts and 2 Padel Courts, with the newest addition of a Lawn Bowling Club.
The nearby sandy beach with its loungers and sunshades can be reached by a mini-train which is fun for the whole family and then boats belonging to the Resort carry guests across a small stretch of water to a long sandy beach. Another fun idea is to rent a Resort Buggy which are licensed to drive on public roads.
There are also six excellent golf courses within easy driving distance, one of which is a Jack Nicklaus 'Signature Course'.
