The luxury Grande Real Villa Itália & Spa is the latest addition to the Real Hotel Group. It is located in a prime site and originally the home and residence of the King Umberto II of Italy when he was in exile. It opened in 2007, having been enlarged and converted into a luxurious 5 Star Hotel. The theme of the décor in the public areas is of a 'classical revisited' style. Marble and mosaic tiles are used to decorate the public areas which help to reflect its past Italian connection. In contrast, the bedrooms and suites are decorated in a light and modern manner but still with suggestions of an Italian influence.
There are 124 rooms, all attractively and comfortable furnished. Guests have the choice of Twin Rooms, Suites or the Penthouse Suites. All rooms are soundproofed and are equipped with all the extra facilities to be expected of this luxurious Hotel. There are also disabled guest rooms and inter-communicating bedrooms and Internet access.
The main facilities include the Belvedere' Restaurant which provides both an 'a la carte' menu and a its 'fine dining' gourmet choices for its guests. Here, dinners will experience some of the best Mediterranean style cuisine combined with light Asian influences.
An excellent professional Health Spa is located within the Hotel with spacious rooms and public areas. For the convenience of its guests there are two outside sea-water pools, one for children together with a Children's Club. Two restaurants, a terrace café and two bars, shops, business centre, library and games room. There is garaging and conference rooms for 450 guests. The Quinta da Marinha and the Oitavos Golf Courses are only a few minutes drive from the Hotel.
