The Estalagem de Monsaraz has 19 rooms, including 4 suites. It is charming conversion of several village houses into one building and has a pleasant garden with a pool. The walled village of Monsaraz is definately worth a visit as it is full of medieval charm. The few streets are still paved with flint stones and the outward appearence of houses is strictly maintained much to their original state. The Estalagem is comfortable furnished with period furniture in keeping with the general atmosphere of the village. Magnificient view may be seen from the wall of the Monsaraz castle, especially over part of the Alqueva Dam.
The Inn has no restaurant but there is a selection of small good restaurants in the village serving Alentejo cuisine.
