Off to Portimão/Praia da Rocha 6/01/08 ANY INFO please

Hi
Were off to Praia da Rocha on Sunday 6/1/08 (Myself, Hubby and 2 kids 4 and 7)

Can anyone offer any advice maybe on Sights, Attractions, Places to eat well. weather conditions (what to pack). etc

Any advice of info greatly appreciated. as its our 1st Holiday in 3years .

Lot's to do but difficult to give you a list without knowing your interests. Zoomarine for the kids, umpteen great golf courses, Monchique is worth a visit, restaurants, beaches, boat trips etc.

Weather should be warm in the day (shirtsleeves or sunbathing where sheltered) but cold at nights so take trousers and a couple of pullovers.

We flew back on 2nd Jan after a glorious week in Lagos. My only regret is that I didn't take shorts and flip flops so you may want to think about packing those items.

Cloudless sunny skies sent the temperatures into the low 20's, which was perfect for doing the exploring that it's too warm to be bother doing in the summer.

I agree about the evenings though. A jumper and or jacket is advisable, though it's still not cold by UK standards.
