Don't want to be a misery (OK, maybe it's a natural trait), and it was some 15 years ago, but Slide & Splash used to be very poorly supervised - i.e. they let people go down the slides too close together.

I ended up with 9 stitches in my head when someone was allowed to immediately follow me down the chute in the deep plunge pool.

Not suggesting you don't go but just make sure that the staff are awake.

Incidentally, shortly before that time they filmed a TV programme there with Judith Chalmers (remember her?). Apparently she was too scared to go down the long slide so she crawled up the tube about 10 feet. The film was speeded up so she was seen emerging from the slide and splashing into the pool as if she's was going at 100mph!

Feel like a real bitch but have you seen the size of Judith Chalmers? No wonder she didn't relish the water slide she would have got stuck!!!!

They were open, I didn't go because it was too cold and thankfully I'm smaller than Judith

Made it to slide and splash, advise making a day of it as it cost 17.5 euro each. Take clothing to cover up when the sun gets hot and maybe a picnic food umbrellas and sunbeds are extra. The slides and good the pool is big but I found the ground a little jaggy.

It's getting pretty hot here at the moment during the day so use plenty of cream or cover up. However, the word is that the weather will deteriorate next week.... maybe
